Last night, the Smithtown Community Band had a stellar concert to open their 2024 Summer Concert Series. I was fortunate enough to be able to conduct two works- one of them being my composition, “Ascending to the Skies Above!” I’m looking forward to our second performance next Tuesday.
Today, after Summer Music, I’m going to be focusing on a transcription project that I might use to enter a few call for scores. I’ve always said there’s no motivation like a deadline… this is certainly the case here.
