Today was composition lesson day! After debriefing with my professor about my recent debut of Symphony No. 2 in C minor, we discussed upcoming projects, including a proposal for the major composition for my doctoral dissertation. We also discussed my favorite question, "What's my next step?".
After the lesson, it was score study time! The Bay Area Symphony Orchestra is starting their next concert cycle on Wednesday and I needed to brush up on the scores to Helios Overture by Carl Nielsen and the final two movements of Beethoven's Symphony No. 6. I can't wait for our first read of these beautiful works!
